1. About GL Adviser
GL Adviser is a technology platform operated by Litigo Limited (trading as GoLitigo), a company registered in England and Wales. GL Adviser provides AI-assisted matter management tools and the GLEAN marketplace, through which independent legal professionals review AI-drafted documents and provide written guidance to clients.
Litigo Limited is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. It is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. GLEAN advisers are independent practitioners who are engaged by clients directly through the platform. No solicitor-client relationship is created with Litigo Limited at any time.
By registering as an adviser you agree to be bound by these terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Acceptable Use Policy.
2. Account Registration
To use GL Adviser you must register for an account and complete the verification process. You agree to:
(a) provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated;
(b) maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials and not share them with any third party;
(c) notify us immediately at support@golitigo.ai if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account;
(d) be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or terminate accounts where information provided is inaccurate or where the account is used in breach of these terms.
3. Adviser Obligations
As an adviser on the GL Adviser platform you agree to:
(a) maintain valid professional qualifications appropriate to the instructions you accept, and ensure these remain current throughout your use of the platform;
(b) hold and maintain adequate professional indemnity insurance covering the advisory work you carry out through the platform, and provide evidence of cover upon request;
(c) comply with all applicable regulatory obligations, including (where applicable) the SRA Standards and Regulations, CILEX professional standards, or equivalent rules of any other recognised professional body;
(d) conduct appropriate conflict checks before accepting any client instruction;
(e) maintain client confidentiality in accordance with your professional duties and applicable law;
(f) comply with anti-money laundering obligations under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, including completing AML verification steps for each client as required by the platform;
(g) not accept instructions in practice areas in which you are not qualified or experienced.
4. Platform Use and AI Tools
GL Adviser provides artificial intelligence tools to assist with document drafting, matter management, and procedural guidance. These tools are provided as drafting aids only. AI-generated content is not legal advice and must be reviewed, verified, and adapted by the adviser before being provided to any client.
The adviser remains solely and professionally responsible for all advice, documents, and guidance they provide to clients, regardless of whether that content was initially generated by the AI tools.
The platform must not be used to carry out reserved legal activities (as defined in the Legal Services Act 2007) unless you are appropriately authorised to carry out those activities and have disclosed this to us.
You must not use the platform to generate content that is misleading, inaccurate, or designed to deceive any person.
5. GLEAN Marketplace
GLEAN is the marketplace component of GL Adviser through which advisers accept client instructions for document review, procedural guidance, and related advisory services. Acceptance of instructions through GLEAN is entirely voluntary. You are under no obligation to accept any instruction.
Fees are agreed between you and the client through the platform, either on a fixed-fee or hourly-rate basis as you specify on your adviser profile. Litigo Limited takes a platform commission from each engagement at the rate communicated to you during onboarding. Commission rates may be updated with 30 days written notice.
Payments are processed through Stripe. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before you can receive payments. You are responsible for your own tax obligations arising from fees received.
If a client raises a dispute regarding the quality of your work, the dispute will be handled in accordance with the platform's dispute resolution process, details of which are provided in your adviser dashboard. Dispute resolution does not affect your professional liability to the client, which runs through your own professional indemnity insurance.
You may cancel an accepted engagement only in circumstances where: (a) a conflict of interest is subsequently identified; (b) the client has been materially misleading in their instructions; or (c) you have reasonable professional grounds for withdrawal. Cancellations must be recorded on the platform and the client notified promptly.
6. Intellectual Property
Litigo Limited owns all intellectual property rights in the GL Adviser platform, including its software, design, branding, AI models, and documentation. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for the purposes set out in these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.
You retain ownership of work product that you create on the platform, including documents you draft, annotations, and feedback you provide to clients. You grant Litigo Limited a non-exclusive licence to use anonymised and aggregated data derived from your use of the platform to improve the AI tools and platform services.
AI-generated content produced by the platform is provided as a draft for professional review and adaptation. No intellectual property right in AI output vests in any party until it is adapted and completed by the adviser.
7. Data Protection
Litigo Limited processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Details of how we collect, use, and protect your personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy.
As an adviser you are an independent data controller in respect of personal data you receive from or about your clients through the platform. You are responsible for ensuring your own processing of client data complies with UK GDPR and all applicable data protection legislation.
8. Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Litigo Limited makes no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Litigo Limited's total aggregate liability to you (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) arising from or relating to your use of the platform is limited to the total fees paid by you (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Litigo Limited is not liable for: (a) any professional liability arising from advice you give to clients; (b) loss of earnings, loss of clients, or reputational damage; (c) indirect or consequential losses of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate these terms on 30 days written notice. You may close your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting support@golitigo.ai.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately and without notice if you commit a material breach of these terms, if you are subject to regulatory sanction, or if your professional indemnity insurance lapses.
On termination: any outstanding payment obligations survive; active client engagements must be wound down appropriately or transferred; your access to the platform will cease. Provisions relating to intellectual property, data protection, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
